Hi again,
Sometimes i've noticed that when i reload the route, even at same iteration, your application offers a quite different route. If i reload the page again, it offers to me the first route again, and so on.
Could be that there are slightly differences between your servers and that each time i load the page, the browser sends me to one server in a round-robin behavior.?

Thank you in advance.

That should not happen in general, but sometimes some data gets out of sync.

It's not exactly about different servers, because once a route gets calculated it is cached and you are stuck with it for the next few minutes.

The notion of iteration depends a bit on the exact moment you update.

E.g. you could update at 11:52, then again at 11:58 when your boat has moved and then again at 12:02 where there is new weather data, and get different results.

But please drop me a note if you see something similar again. Errors happen sometimes and I don't always notice, so feedback from other users helps a lot.

Thank you for your answer. As i undestand, at the VOR game, iterations are each 10 minutes at hh:m7 time.

What i mean when i say that i get differents courses, is tha when i refresh the page loaded in the browser, it offers me quite different ones.

Now for example it suggests me to take 188 deg. and 2 minutes ago the course suggested was 194, with all different subsequent changes.

To zezo 2014 -10-22

Now that I read the comment of Feriber , I can say that the same happened with me. A rather different route is planned and a few minutes later the ""old"" course is suggested.
Hopefully it was only an incident.

It's not unexpected to get +/- 5 degree change between two updates, even without a forecast change. Wind pattern and boat polars often combine in a way which does not create single 'optimum' path, with an ensemble of equal paths instead. So the router may chose slightly different one at each iteration. That should be fine as long as the general strategy is the same.

Thank you very much for both answers. I take note about them.

I suppose that in low wind condition, this somehow "erratic" behavior is easier to appear.

Is it only my GUI that has changed? The boats have received a white lining making it even worse to look at...

Same here.

If you zoom in, close enough, and you get rid of the white lining. But I agree, the white lining makes it worse.

They also added another feature, called "isochrone curves" but it does not work for me right now. Check the settings dialog.

The isochrones are visible with me after checking the settings dialog, shades of blue, dark, light, so that you can see the ultimate distances with a certain course.
