Hello,

I was trying to look for the formula to calculate the credits received on a race depending on the type of the race and the finish place. I cannot seem to be able to find it, woould anyone has it handy?

If it has not changed recently, it is : 1600*(7-race level)/ (ranking exp 0.25)

it depend of the category of the race.
VSR out of category = 15000,VSR1 = 10000 ,VSR2=5000, VSR3=3000
The calculation method is the following:

Points VSR = Max / (Rang^Coef VSR)

and Coef VSR = 0,125

example :
race VSR1, rang 4000
10000/(4000^0,125) = 3546

Credits earned depend on the price of the race. There are 6 different ones.

VSR points earned depend on the VSR category of the race. There are 4 of them.

Do you know if there's any direct relationship between the pricing category and the VSR category? Or any other way to find out the pricing category before registering for the race?

Also, does the cost of options, when spending credits rather than buying a full pack, go by the pricing category or the VSR category?

It would be nice to have an idea of how much it costs to be competitive in a race before deciding whether or not to commit to doing the race. Historically, the two categorizations were the same, right? So you could figure out the costs based on the shown VSR category. I had noticed some different pricing on different races for the same VSR category, but hadn't really thought about it until I saw Mcfly's post.

In the first row you have the amount of free credits and in the next rows prices of options according to the free credits received.

No, no direct relationship between the price of the race and its VSR category.

VSR* is for Vend�e Globe at 29,99
VSR1: 24,99
VSR2: 14,99 or 19,99 (For examples Marseille Carthage at 14,99 but the 3rd stage of Globe 40 at 19,99)
VSR3: 9,99 or 14,99 or 19,99 (the 4 stages of Figaro were VSR 3 but the FP of the 2nd was at 9.99, the others at 14.99 & the 4th stage of Globe 40 at 19,99)

No, the cost of the options depends on the price of the race.

The price of 4.99 is applied for "beta" races like the "Bermuda" last year.

Thanks... Yeah... It was one of the VSR3 races priced at $19.99 that made me think something was inconsistent. Frustrating to enter a race only to subsequently discover it's going to cost more than you guessed if you want the FP.
