Boat performance upwind decreases after 25 (for this particular boat) knots.

That's just the physics of sailing.

Do you sail in real life?

Ok if that rule is applied to the game...OK

VR boat performance is based on the actual boats and this is one of the coolest features of the game.

With some luck we could be sailing close to the real boats for quite while.

Even all the way around the world, with some of the participants.

Actually for the Vendée Globe this year the speed isn't close to the actual IMOCAs

Been just ahead of Hugo Boss for quite some time. Now the real boats are reaching, and catching up.

These boats don’t sail well in wind over 25knts. As you can see they get slower!!

Keep in mind, the speed numbers the teams brag about are instantanious numbers. NOT, what they will do hour after hour in a big sea state. 4 days in and the virtual boats are still well ahead of the real ones. The polar numbers are that bad for average speeds.

Remember as well, we have much steadier and more predictable wind.
