I see there’s a lot of French chat about the next Chiloe race. I guess it’s another rock hopping exercise in Chile, any ideas?

It just opened... Looks like it's on IMOCAs from Panama to Chiloe, Chile. I'm not sure if I want to do it or not, since Category 3 can be expensive. Can someone who has accessed the race clarify the course? The image looks like maybe you have to leave the Galapagos to port and are otherwise unrestricted?

That's it. The players probably find the caravelle-type races a bit boring, so they've upgraded it. 20-day estimate now instead of 35.

You also have to leave Chiloe to port and pass through the tiny islands between Chiloe and mainland. The finish is in Puerto Montt.

20 days race (imoca 60). start from panama bay, turn around galapagos (1), then go south and turn around chiloe island by south (2) and go north to Puerto Monti. (without wind)

Router is online.

The Galapagos gate is defined as "Can't pass the buoy latitude East of the island". That creates a little problem right now because the track wants to go South of the line. Select "Ignore gates" and "Go to Galapagos" to get good result.

Nothing to do with VR but I am just back from Galapagos. It is just incredible; if you have a chance to go, do not miss it
