Hi Phillipe,

Is it possible - with a lot of sugar on top:

- to increase the number of boat friends at least to the number that we had before with the "limitations of the technology" of the old platform?

- Is it possible of the increase the number of the boats that we see like we had in prevos versions of the platform or in aternative to have them popping a bit more once we zoom in a given area. Sometimes we can't even spot the leader of the race. This give us a totally wrong idea of the whole picture and leads maybe to bad tactics. wether or not we are first run sailors who follow the number one or "F1 sailors" who prefer tactics?

- Could we please have a way to know exactly the coordinates of the pointer of our mouse. This is a navigation/routing patform. We always had this feature.I can't understand we don't have the coordinates of a given point?

- Since the majority of the people feels that something wrong is going on or in the wrong way with the cards system, cand we simply for the next leg have again autosails, and programmation as a normal feature, even if it's included in a paid package?
I don't feel that there is a comercial success in the cards system. As we see we are all stocking cards and cards...of every type. It's a bit unfair, because it's a lottery, and really penalizes everyone in early stages of the leg. we would like to remain with a healthy game without sleep depravation if possible.

- Can you please confirm us when the foil system the we paid for is fully at work. If is still not can we have an estimate when it's going to be implemented? it maybe be wise to don't charge for it in leg 3 if it's still not working.

- Can we please lower the 4knots treshold and know in advance what is the value?

- Can we please have an information panel with all this kind of information in site. As previewd as obligation in the company in Eula?

- Can we please have Forum working as previewed as an obligation of the company in Eula? I guess it's being implemented, because I already see "Club House" for a couple of days, but it doesn't work at all. At least for me. And I have already tested in every browser possible. But it wuld be wise to don't put things in front of our eyes that don't work. (like the foils)

I am sure there are more simple, fair justified things to ask you and your team that I don't have the time now to write so I ask everyone to add fair situations to this kind of "to do list" (imho) in a constructive way. Aiming a better leg 3.

On a positive note: I had a Tech issue that didn't give me my ranking in local, club etc. thank you and your team for fixing it in a fair period of time adressing the situation in a cool manner.

Best regards

Nuno

Hundreds of sailors have exactly the same opinion as you Nuno, but nothing of any consequence has happened despite weeks of pleading on this forum. How about we go back to the old game, it surely woud be very easy to do, and then Phillipe can go back to his drawing board and design a more modern version of the game that someone might want to play.
I still pray that something will be done.
Chris,

Hi Chris,

That is is exactl y keepeing in mind that we have a very spread opinion that I've initiated this post, adressed directly to Phillipe and VR team.

It's a last effort, and someone has to do it.

What about being positive and trusting that our voice as a group will reach the right ears?

Nuno

Ps: I am also testing liveskipper now

I think we should stop wasting electrons (and our time) and let the numbers speak.

If the VR sales reports confirm our words we may see appropriate actions. If they don't - well, we may write all the words in the world but this will change nothing.

I would stop wasting my time on this if there were not all you people who have donated money to the cause in advance, in the good faith that I'll keep providing tools, help and information.

I know exactly what you mean Cvetan.

But please allow me this last effort to try to change things for good.

If this don't work, you know exactly what are my ideas.

It's kind of a last effort.

Hello,
- Could we please have a way to know exactly the coordinates of the pointer of our mouse. This is a navigation/routing patform. We always had this feature.I can't understand we don't have the coordinates of a given point?

When Programming is not activated and you have Waypoint cards to lose and you really need it, you can use one Waypoint card to have the coord of any point...
Post by iconPost by zezo | 2017-11-18 | 01:37:16
But then you also risk driving the boat in that direction, which may not be the desired one. Because there is no confirmation about waypoint activation, they just kick in after some timeout.
Post by iconPost by nsp | 2017-11-18 | 05:55:07
Cvetan with all due respect that is answering a problem with another problem. :)

What i mean and i am sure that Turb means is to know what exactly what are the coordinates of a given point of the mouse. In order to make simulations or some studdies about what tactic to follow.

If there is a second problem that need to be adressed, I suggest you to edit my post and add it to the to do list. I guess we are on the same page so you are totally free to do it. :)
Post by iconPost by nsp | 2017-11-18 | 05:30:57
I totally understand and agree with your point of view and your issues guyss.

However, I still believe in that the voice of al of us, together as costumers of VR will make a difference...so i will remain with m suggestions and with an open door to a solution to a "better world".

Call me whatever you want but I still trust in comunication and mediation.

So again, and in order to try to achieve something and as this post is directly adressed to Philipe, if you have anything to add to the above suggestions to VR team, add it in a constructive way. If you just agree, I suggest that if you just read and agree and have nothing to add reply with a "+" or a "agree" or even a "-"if you don't agree.

But let's trust that our voice is something valued together as a group, representative or a sample of all costumers. And impossible to avoid.

Trust in yourselves guys and let's be together as ONE!

Nuno

I totally agree with all the proposals to try to keep the game as it was before.

This is what we have said from the beginning Nuno, hopefully someday mr Super :D and his team will listen to us about this.
I know that connections at Volvo is worried that the Volvo name are getting hurt buy bad publishing and i am sure that VR soon will have to take action about our pointers.

Maybe a few tweets on Twitter on Phillipe's and VirtualRegatta' accounts encouraging those changes might get them to listen.
Twitter is very powerful at showcasing people's frustration from below average 'customer service'.
I've done it a few times and got my issues sorted!

Post by iconPost by hophop | 2017-11-18 | 12:56:59

Frustrations (the major ones!):
1) you don't know what you are sailing against (too many pre start equipment options)
2) too difficult to track who you are sailing against (invisible boats, limited friends, top sailors only in other lists)
3) too difficult to sail your best race (crazy card lottery, in game what-if almost impossible)
I'm an NMS until these are fixed

Post by iconPost by JohnT | 2017-11-24 | 06:39:09
Google translation of the above:
"I also noticed that the application is not very well rated on the Android store and they are quite sensitive on the comments posted there. They respond frequently."

Obviously a good place for those of us that use the Android App to make our voices heard. Latest version has a very annoying 'feature' in that the app aspect ratio is messed up. This gives an oval compass which I can live with, but more annoyingly on a phone with a soft home key, you can no longer switch apps while leaving the boat position displayed: more clicks to get data into zezo :(

Post by iconPost by eljot | 2017-11-24 | 12:34:06
The web version also does not show the content properly. If you have display with different aspect ratio than 16: 9 then the full screen view is cut off.

Free unlimited cards with the Full Pack.
What do I do now with the credits I purchased? Will you let me use them to acquire the full pack on the next leg?
Post by iconPost by theo | 2018-05-29 | 20:41:22
One simple thing guys that may force Philippe to take seriously all our comments
If I remember well last VORG had a bit less than 500.000 entries. The VORG now never crossed 65.000 entries Is a dramatic change and If I was Philippe my first priority would be to find out why. Were did all that 400.000 missing people go??? and WHY????

Post by iconPost by Ursus Maritimus | 2018-05-30 | 10:06:29
VOR number of players reported in race history:
Leg 1 74677
Leg 2 84185
Leg 3 68533
Leg 4 63411
Leg 6 60499
Leg 7 55347
Leg 8 48167
(leg 5 was not raced in VR)

From the first two legs (80k) down to 50k in leg 8 is an almost 40% decrease in number of players and probably also in revenue. Same trend for other races...

Post by iconPost by karriv | 2018-06-06 | 20:39:46
The actual no of participants per leg in the previous edition is visible in race history. Then there were most participants in leg 2, just shy of 60 000. Normal was 30-40 000. Compared to that they aren't doing bad.
Post by iconPost by Ursus Maritimus | 2018-06-08 | 08:31:56
That's where I have the numbers rom. Where you see 60k in VOR leg 2?
Post by iconPost by karriv | 2018-06-08 | 09:11:30
I see for the previous edition the following:

Leg 0: 16371
Leg 1: 37973
Leg 2: 59566
Leg 3: 48404
Leg 4: 42682
Leg 5: 31901
Leg 6: 39073
Leg 7: 37922
Leg 8: 23647
Leg 9: 42665

Source: Race history.

For this edition, I see the same numbers as you.

And there are managers whose business does not grow who are convinced that they are right and their customers are just too stupid to understand their brilliant ideas

Lorenzo, I think you hit the center of the target. This guy Philippe, from what I ve seen when once he chatted with us in this forum, is over the limit arrogant. Is more than clear that his clients have many issues and are unsatisfied with the present version of the game. He knows all about the problems we addressed here and after 10 legs of the VOR he has done nothing more than ignoring all the comments of his costumers and changed NOTHING so far. In fact the game day by day has more problems or lets say malfunctions and especially to the extras/options we must pay for. So I believe your comment explains the situation. Mr. Philippe is one of that kind of people that he believes he is the best, whatever he does can only be perfect and who does not see it like that is stupid, or better to say not clever enough to appreciate it.
That been said I must agree with Cvetan that we just loose our time trying to make Mr Perfect to LISTEN TO US.
After all, there is enough competition and in parallel I use SOL which I believe gives the best, all fair, fully instrumented, virtual sailing game. I keep to VR as for the Clipper tour and VOR tour to which VR is the official partner, but if things stays as now,
that factor looses it's importance..

Clipper number of entries per leg, also declining trendline, although not as steep as in VOR
leg 3 39255
leg 4 33377
leg 5 39658 (Sydney Hobarth)
leg 6 32472
leg 7 34317
leg 8 26785
leg 9 31040
leg 10 26270
