Hi Cvetan,

Have you considered implementing limitation marks, or is that perhaps tricky? It would be very helpful to be able to insert Leave to Port/Starboard marks along the course to force the router in certain directions?

Cheers,
JJ

That's the Expedition talking in you! I would welcome that tool, also. Sp

Port/starboad would be a bit tricky (read slow) but a cardinal mark would be easier to do (keep N/E/S/W of it) and most of the time it can do the same job.

Yes, that would do the trick as well :)

Pretty standard GPS or even LORAN and Satnav era stuff. It would be nice to set bounding circles and fence lines. I'd even more like to see currents put in if we are talking about where development "dollars" (ie your personal hours) are put. The processing would be just like the wind data using a 3/1 ratio or so, and at the client instead of offering info like the wind is shown we only give them a current an historic track of water temp. They can find their copy of our data source on the internet. You absolutely MUST consider the current at all times IRL, so I think that in online sailing it would be the logical next dimension...

Cheers!

Good idea, but probably best addressed to Virtual Regatta.

VR tried to add currents to the game for few races, but it never really worked, and it was probably decided that would be too complex for most players, so they abandoned the idea.
