Hello fellow racers.

VR have stated in their forum via their Moderators that the race start will be one hour after the start of the real boats.

I have seen in the past where VR have indicated a late start in both their Leg Briefings and their countdown clocks only to change that at the last minute. They may well actually start after the real boats. BUT just in case, I plan on having my boat programmed to start at the same time as the real boats. I suggest you all do the same. As I said in my posts in their forum, the worst that will happen is that I sit an additional hour on the start line.

Have an excellent race and see you on the race course.

Steve, I understand your lack of trust. Milpitas Seville, like you, will be on deck at 1800 UTC to study the wind update anyway. I would like VR to have a clean leg and we get full access to the control panel as the cannon fires. I packed my long underwear too with the promise there will be no damn Ice Fences.

Lets get together for an evening with Bigamist in downtown Lisboa.

VR should pay heed to Harry Truman's advice:

"If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."

To add insult to injury, they can't write a phrase correctly in French...

"Le site est actellement en maintenance" is wrong. It's "actuellement".

It's the sort of thing that reminds me of David Lee Roth and browm M&Ms (see the story here: http://fourhourworkweek.com/2012/01/01/no-brown-mms-david-lee-roth-and-the-power-of-checklists/).
