VR have finally shut down the access to boat positions.

I'll add input boxes for longitude and latitude as soon as I get the new wind system in order.

Hello,

What is that you received the new system of wind?

Cordially.

I'm currently working to implement the basic interpolated 3-hour forecast.

When that's ready IF the winds speeds are close enough to the VR interpolation method and IF the polars are close enough to the old ones you could copy and paste your location and get routing suggestion.

And then we'll see what's next.

Thank you very much for your work Cvétan.

Very nice !
If you could manage even a degraded version, it would help a lot for long time routes !

Nice work BTW

Thank you Cvetan, you're the best !!
Just a little question : what's the best way to copy and paste our location ?

It's the most important question

Thank you very much @zezo_org for all your daily work.
I'm sure your ingeniousness will bypass the pitfalls that VR posed on our way. I trust in your creativity and I support you. Courage

Hi Cvetan ,

Could it be possible to implement a boat position function where we could enter manualy the latitude and longitude taken from the vr interface?
Post by iconPost by zezo | 2016-11-06 | 18:42:37
@BenArfa A piece of paper ;-)

It's not that hard actually - if you have old routing result and have followed the router the new point is somewhere along the way.

The difference is that VR uses angular seconds and I use decimal minutes for the status bar display, but a 1/2 nm difference should not matter that much with the interpolated winds.

I will add input lines for lat/lon but you will still have to fill them by hand.

Thus I had the good method since the beginning ;-)

Would you describe your method to get position from VR?
Post by iconPost by zezo | 2016-11-06 | 22:54:08
You can set the routing origin by a shift-click in the chart or a right mouse button and "Set as starting point" from the following pop-up menu. But you have to position the cursor in the right spot first, by observing the latitude and longitude numbers in the status bar.

Thanks a lot Cvetan for giving us a "hope" in this VR worldshit ;)

Good job Cvetan....It seems to work but why it doesn't remember my "destination point" and "starting point" ? As soon as I change the scale, it comes back to the original points....

Merci Cvetan !

Is there a way to type directly the coordinate of the starting point ?
Precisely locating the boat on the map can be bothersome...

Hello, we have a precise location of the boat in 3D mode. It's probably more accurate than the mouse.
Thank you for everything
