Can someone tell me the difference between the two polars... VOR and VOR (Testing)?
or direct me to the relevant post....

It must be the lack of sleep.... I can't find it in my trawling..

Look in the right click menu...
The list of options available are not the same.
Basically, the 'testing' version is more recent and about to become the main stream.

The only difference should be separate sail selection. As long as you are Full Pack or No Sails they should give exactly the same results (with or without foils)

That is Pro Sails and Foils in VOR and everything (LS C0 HS and Foils) in VOR (Testing) I am seeing differences....

14Kts 105 deg VOR: 16.87 VOR (testing) 16.67
12Kts 090 deg VOR: 14.47 VOR (testing) 14.41

very slight.... I know, but there for me...

The router output should be identical. That means that no new errors are added in the beta ;-)

I'll check the polar chart - it may have some things unfinished like foils and hull polish

Hi Cvetan,

There are some little differences in the polars of VOR and VOR (Testing), in the merge area below 16 kts and above 10 kts (foils influence).

TWS 14 kts TWA 110 - VOR speed 17.16 kts
- VOR (testing) speed 16.96 kts

The linear interpolation is buggy due to copy-pasting.

cv = (ws - 11) / 10;

Should actually read / 5 because the twsMerge range is 5, not 10 like the twaMerge range.

I's been noted and fixed a long time ago, but not everywhere. And I'm going to retire that beta soon anyway.

The router uses different formula so it's correct.
