Grounded? It's a bitch to get off without the hull going transparent at max zoom, and the red /!\ giving wrong information.

When I'm grounded, I always go 180° the opposite, even if winds are the opposite. This always worked...

does't works with me that time

I'm grounded as well I'm the last one now I tried everything every time I log in again the boat direction reset to the ground again, I sent them an email I'm curious to see their answer

There seems to be that thing that the client updates your position autonomously, but the server is not really aware of it.

So you better wait for 2-3 minutes instead of one, maybe close the app/browser window and reopen. Confirm that you have sailed off.

Been there. Done that. No, they did not send a T-shirt.

That's probably the best you can do. Unless you are at TWA==0, most boats will make some progress, and with the more frequent position updates it's not really critical that you sail the optimum for a minute or two. And if you've sailed the right TWA (say below 150) you should already be in the reasonable range above 30 with a 180 turn.

Unless some time has passed, wind has shifted and you are really fucked.

I can't believe they dare to ask for money to play with a game full of bugs
Post by iconPost by zezo | 2017-11-05 | 23:27:07
It's not about the bugs. All software has bugs. It's how you handle them. Do you fix them in a day, week or a month, or just keep saying to your customers "oh, but it's a design feature"

In our POS software the programmers told the sales staff to call bugs "Undocumented Features"

I have been grounded as well on the TJV. I did not get the 'danger sign' so was taking some risk, too much.
You need to take opposite direction to the ground, wait for 2 minutes at least to see your boat getting out, and then you can sail again. What is quite surprising is that it is only after 2 minutes that you see that your boat is grounded, it sails normally and suddently get back. So I conclude it was grounded... Can sail as a tourist now, as I lost any chance to perform well...

Same here. Grounded without danger sign on TJV, seems my boat just snap to the island, or position I see is not the same on the VR erver.
I get out, but after few minutes my boat snap back to the grounded position again and again (I wonder if I was playing VR or being trapped in a Groundhog Day movie).

Grounded as well, lost 3000 places before receiving notification. Ô rage, Ô désespoir...

Me2 - tried hard and everything suggested here for over an hour. Gave up. Thankfully I did not spent real Cash for the TJV. It's over even before it began...time to care about the more important things in life :P
