Hi,

In the last 1.5 hours I've seen the charts and forecasts changing 3 times enormously without having changed my destination or whatsoever that could influence a new route.
Could you please explain me what happened in-between 22.00-23.30hr CET today and if we can expect more of these unexpected changes? Thank you!

Kind regards.

There is a new forecast coming out in that time.

It's updated gradually, so at first you have 4 to 5 days of new weather, half hour later another two days worth of data arrive, and half more hour later the entire forecast should be updated.

Updating early makes sense when the destination point is within few days, but when it's far away and the weather is unstable you should wait for the entire update.

The status of the update is visible in the status bar. If the second field from the right says something GFS:12Z+ , then update is in progress. There is additional popup if you hover the mouse over the field - looks like "Last file:gfs.t18z+144h" which means that the fits 144 hours of the forecast come from the latest grib, and the remaining two days are from the previous one.
