what are you aiming at? less than 4 days it must be ...
Post by iconPost by zezo | 2018-06-15 | 17:49:51
Looks like a bit over 90 hours. Definitely few hours below 4 days.

Right now it looks like 4 days. Plus/minus some minutes. Hope it will be below 4 days. You Ursus Maritimus will definitely go below 4 days.

not only me, we're a bunch of compatriots all arrive in about 8 to 9 hours from now in times between 94 an d95 hours. I'm not the fastest (yet)

I'm at 91 hours predicted with the current weather (DTF 285 nm). YourMom is 15 minutes ahead of me on the distance, probably within a minute or three on time.

The initial forecast was less than 4 days, maybe 93 hours at the time of the start.

I'll arrive 5 minutes after you
Post by iconPost by mcmgj | 2018-06-15 | 22:35:15
yourmom is started exactely 17 minutes before you !!! her expective time is 92 hours and 30 minutes ...

And the moral of the story is don't lose faith in Zezo: I started 5 minutes behind YourMom and 12 ahead of Big Bird, and held my own until we were within 24hrs of the finish and I started to ignore zezo and believe what VR was telling me...and lost 8 minutes to both of them!
Anyway, a fun crossing and it turned out it was worth waking up @ 0400 (Pacific time) to start :)
Cheers

Still first...
My first first, provisional...

Inicio, 4 minutes more.

Congrats!

Thanks!
It's Zezo.
And the green line. Not gibed nord. I think that was the point.

And also the starting time.
I started at 2:00 p.m. I was waiting since 1:00 p.m. and seeing that I was cutting time. But then the window closed quickly ... I was afraid of waiting too long and losing the window ... but it went well! Ventdenfer (3rd) started at 1:50 and checked for restart at 14:10 and seen that it was too late!
Zezo is GREAT!

Well done Inicio,
I started about 10 mins before you and watched you gradually get nearer.
Still, to be provisionally in the top 10 is good for me. I was on all sails and foils but had to rely on cards. So at least a full nights sleep every night.

Thank you!
For me it was perhaps the quietest regatta ... long time at 150 exact.
There were only two moments that demanded attention and losing sleep. At first, in the initial jibe to the north, and then the penultimate afternoon-night, with continuous small changes of TWA, to find the maximum speed.
I had collected a few programming cards, but they were not unlimited ... so I had to save!

Once again Thanks to Cvetan and zezo for 90h 43mn.

Start the 12 at 11h38 (UTC). (it was a little bit to early).

The initial forecast was 96 hours but weather changes were favorable.

Many thanks to Cvetan for ZEZO ! I started on 12th June at 13h51, it was a very good time.

Congrats !
I started a new record to compare alina's course and mine on this week's attempt (I started at 1:10 PM and finished 34 minutes after Alina).
And after 6 hours, I was 15 miles behind

It seems the conditions were better at the start of the race and the big difference was made at this moment..

Does anyone see regional/city results for the Atlantic Challenge?
I can see global, friends and National; but VR ranking says no-one in California has finished - which is definitely not true!
I have raised this with Jessica and she asked for screenshots which I sent, so they may be working on it.
As I recall, the Jules Verne had the same issue, so it seems to be related to races that you can do over...

Hi,
the same for me. And I had also noticed that during the former challenges
Post by iconPost by Ursus Maritimus | 2018-06-18 | 00:09:37
I've sent exactly the same screenshots at the time of JVT. I suspect Jessica of being a bot and call her as such (jessicabot). Don't expect VR to fix any bugs unless you like disappointments.

I'm a little (but not a lot!) less pessimistic than you are on this. Rather than post a new support request, I sent it as an add-on comment to a thank you to a $ problem she had finally fixed for me; and she replied the next day with the screenshot request. All I can say is that if she is a bot, then she's programmed to a much higher standard than I give VR overall ;)

maybe they waste programming resources on the jessicabot ?
