There is so little anyone can do when a sailor is lost at sea.
I feel very sad with the loss of one of the Volvo Ocean Race heroes

I would like to suggest a small moment of silence for John Fisher when we pass Cape Horn

In memorial of John Fisher I will make a 360 at a bearing of 180 to the Cape

My thought are with John Fisher, his family and friends.

I will take 180 seconds to make my 360 turn.

Fijn te zien dat iemand een zelfde gedacht heeft.
Good to see there is some feeling and acting the same:) Although it's not much to do it's a small gesture of compassion.

Our deepest condolences to John Fisher´s family and all the Volvo Ocean Race crew members, on behalf of all the sailing community in Mexico.
Rest in peace a true example of a brave man...

All my life I have followed sports car and formula one racing. My father raced LeMans Sebring and Watkins Glen and others in the 60s. I went through losing a lot of my heroes over the decades.(Some that I knew and others I never met.) That being said none of the them have affected me like the loss of John Fisher. I had never really heard of him before Monday morning, but Monday night (and last night wasn't much better) I could not sleep at all!

RIP John. thinking about you.
